Anti-Road

Recently I've been admiring the work of Franz Kline: [link] - the way he manages such a powerful and effective mood through mere brushstrokes of thick black and white paint is quite remarkable. It's a type of abstract art that I've grown fond off slightly and I've been experimenting with this style using the same technique as Kline used. The idea was to get a projector and overlay several photographs and quick collages I made onto the light and project the forms onto a blank canvas. The end result of this painting is a culmination of these images via a deep emotional method.

I feel that in life I'm heading down a road that I don't know where it will end or how it will change me overtime. The thought of such a journey impacts me on greatly and leave me in such a deep-induced state that I find myself lost among the psychological impact of such a reality. This trip, this journey, this road even, has in result turned into an Anti-Road for me.
